Thank you for all your continued support this week. We are looking forward to all of Year 5 and Year 6 pupils and staff returning on Monday for our last few days. I am also excited about joining Year 3's remote session on Tuesday when we will be celebrating the memorable moments of the year. Please join us on Tuesday at 9.15 am for the End of Term Mass which will be live streamed via the Parish website http://www.stambrosekidderminster.org.uk/

We are really proud of how hard ALL pupils have worked in school this week. On Monday morning, in our virtual celebration assembly (Year 3 will have a celebration with Miss Ballard), the following children will be receiving a certificate for their fantastic efforts:
Year Group | Star Learners |
Reception | Daria and Ciara |
Year 1 | Daniel and Katie |
Year 2 | Marian and Lauren |
Year 3 | Luca and Niamh |
Year 4 | James and Karolina |
Year 5 | Olaf and Filip |
Year 6 | ALL OF YEAR 6 |
Our virtues for this half term are faith-filled and hopeful. We are growing to be faith-filled in our beliefs and are hopeful for the future.
We help our pupils to grow by passing on the living and faith-filled tradition of Jesus Christ and by encouraging them to have faith and hope in others.
On Monday, we will be celebrating who our pupils and teacher's feel have demonstrated these virtues and the pupils nominated will receive special certificates.
Unfortunately the school Mass will not take place on Sunday now due to Covid restrictions. The 11 am Mass at Saint Ambrose Church will be the Parish Mass.
Year 6 (September 2021) children will be leading the Family Mass on Sunday 19th September at 11 am to mark the start of their preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in December 2021.
Father Lamb extends a warm welcome to all families to continue to attend Mass over the summer. Please click on the link below which will take you to the Parish website where you can view newsletters and get information on Mass times.
On Monday, we will be busy filming our End of Year Play which our Year 6 pupils have worked so hard on. This will be shared with Year 6 parents as soon as it has been edited. Please ensure that children bring in their signed filming permission letters and any costumes they have at home on Monday morning.
At 5pm, on Monday evening, our Year 6 leavers Mass will be live-streamed from St Ambrose's Church and Father Lamb is looking forward to speaking to the children virtually.
On Tuesday, Year 6 will have their fun afternoon with games, a cone of chips and an ice-cream.
We are so proud of our Year 6 pupils and hope their last two days at St Ambrose are memorable.
GRADUATION WILL NOW BE IN SEPTEMBER AND DETAILS FOR THIS EVENT WILL BE SHARED WITH YOU NEXT WEEK.
This morning, Year 6 baked along at home with Miss Noble and Miss Holtom to make some delicious Mexican inspired cinnamon tortilla treats to finish off their Hola Mexico topic. We are amazed at how well their creations turned out! Yummy!
Year 4 have enjoyed their Summer fun afternoon this week. It has been wonderful seeing all the children with smiles on their faces, playing different games and having fun with their friends and teachers.
I would like to thank the teapot time group and TAPP for helping to make this a fun event by organising and funding a cone of chips and an ice cream for all children along with summer activities set up in the playground.
Next week, Year 5 and 6 children will be able to come to school in their own summer suitable clothes e.g. shorts, t-shirt and trainers (not flip flops) for their fun afternoons. If you have not returned the reply slip regarding dietary requirements, please return it as soon as possible. Thank you for your support, this will enable us to pre-order summer food for everyone.
