It is wonderful to see the children looking very smart in their summer uniforms; fingers crossed the warmer weather will pick up again! With regard to uniform could you please ensure that your child wears sensible shoes and his/her hair is tied up (if long). Please make sure all items of clothing are named.
Thank you for your support to improve punctuality, I am really pleased to say everyone is now arriving on time, Well done. From next week I will be having a focus on attendance. Please remember to contact us about your child's attendance or other issues. Good communication between us is good for your child's education. Parental support is critical in ensuring that children achieve in education, and support and guidance is always available. We know that we need to work together to support our children to attend school and to be successful. A letter has gone home this week regarding our NSPCC’s Speak out. Stay safe. online programme that we are running next week. This consists of an online assembly and supporting classroom based activities. Speak out. Stay safe. is a safeguarding programme available to all primary schools in the UK. It aims to help children understand abuse in all its forms and to recognise the signs of abuse in a child friendly way. Children are taught to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or Childline. Please see the letter below.
Can we please remind you to complete and return the live stream consent form that came home with your child last week.
Mathew Morgan who leads the intercessory prayer network at Saint Ambrose has provided parishioners the opportunity to leave prayer intentions for the network to pray for throughout the week. Matthew would like to extend this opportunity to our school community and invites anyone to email prayer intentions to stambroseintercessors@gmail.com
The things that are achieved by the children at our school are incredible. Members of our school represent numerous sports teams and clubs outside of school, as well as representing the school with great pride at various competitions.
This week I have heard:
"All children at Saint Ambrose are wonderful and manners are impeccable. It is the best school I have visited."

Before COVID our Summer Fete was a huge success and not only was it lots of fun but we raised a fantastic amount of money for the school! We are already planning ahead, have set the date and are looking forward to organising this year’s fete to be just as much fun, if not better!
At Saint Ambrose everyone recognises regular school attendance is an important part of giving children the best possible start in life. The Church is currently following a directive from Pope Francis to focus on reflection and sharing of the whole church. Pope Francis states,
"By walking together, and together reflecting on the journey made, the Church will be
able to learn from what it will experience which processes can help it to live
communion, to achieve participation, to open itself to mission."
At Saint Ambrose we aim to enable families to experience the wide parish Community and for us to reflect and learn please complete the survey, see link below. The results will be shared with the parish to enable us to grow and learn together.
PLEASE EMAIL ebrocklesby@st-ambrose.worcs.sch.uk if your son (years 4-6) would like to train as an altar server or your son or daughter (years 3-6) would like to read at Parish Masses.
