DATE: Friday 25th September 2020
Good afternoon,
Another week has passed and we continue to adapt to our new school routines. As previously expressed, thank you for your support and cooperation for drop-off and collection arrangements. The systems are working well and it is wonderful seeing the younger children already growing in their independence, entering the school gate and walking (sometimes running!) to their classrooms, eager for their next day of learning.
We will continue to share with you any updates linked to Covid-19 as soon as possible and as previously mentioned, we will make adaptations as necessary to our procedures in order to follow Government guidance.
Due to the government guidance, appointments to discuss your son or daughters progress will not be face to face. We will be using microsoft Teams to meet and discuss progress on the identified dates below. The main reason for using Teams, is to ensure if we do have a local lockdown we are prepared and will be able to continue to teach children virtually. The parents appointments will be test sessions to ensure we are all able to meet virtually. We have chosen to use Teams because it is an App that can be downloaded on a smartphone, tablet or computer (details below explaining how to download Teams). I would now like to ask you all to download the Teams app on to your device. Next week every child will receive their school sign in email and password ready for the meetings. The meeting dates and times are detailed in the table below and appointments can be booked on the school website from Tuesday 29th September at 12 o'clock.

Please see the letter below for Year 4 parents regarding the details for your son/daughter's First Holy Communion on Saturday October 3rd at 12 o'clock.
In line with Government guidance, can we please ask that from Monday you wear a face covering when coming into the school reception area. Thank you for your continued support.
Thank you to everyone who has already completed and returned their menu choices for this half term. We are currently providing a packed lunch menu and kindly ask that if you would like your child to receive a packed lunch to complete their sandwich filling choice and return to the school as soon as possible. (You will find the menu choices below.)
Meals cost £2.30 per day unless your child is in receipt of Free School Meals or they are in KS1 (Reception, Y1 and Y2) where they will receive Universal Free School Meals.
If we do not receive notification of your packed lunch choice for your child we will presume that you are sending them with a lunch from home.

Due to the parish hall still being closed, Teapot Time will take place at school. If you would like to attend, the next session will be on Tuesday 29th September at 9am. Entrance will be via the side gate next to pre-school.
Father Lamb will be saying Mass in school on Wednesday for our Year 4 children.
Thank you to everyone for not using the school car park to drop off and pick up children, this has really enabled us to keep everyone safe. Only parents who have a car park pass will be permitted to use the school car park when it is safe to do so.
Please remember that we have children in school who suffer from a severe allergy to all nuts and products containing nuts. Children with this condition may have a serious reaction, which could prove fatal if they come into contact with nuts. Consequently, I would ask that no nuts or related products (e.g. Kinder Bueno, Nutella spreads, peanut butter etc.) are brought into school for your child’s break or packed lunch. Your agreement with this and compliance could prevent a life threatening situation from developing. I am sure you will appreciate the reasons for making this request and trust that you will give it your full co-operation.
If you still need to purchase uniform for your son or daughter please see the PDF document below. You can print, complete and return the form to Hagley Sports or follow the link to access their website.
Kind regards,
Mrs Brocklesby.
