CTA FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT:

Here are some photo's and quotes from the children about their experience in the football tournament last week. Again can we extend a huge thank you to them for partaking and for all parents who kindly gave up their time to give lifts and support our school.

Oliver G : "It was the best day ever and I had lots of fun playing football with my friends. I am very pleased that we came FIRST!"

Archie: " I was very joyful and we all did very well."

Tom R: "It was very exciting to play against other schools, and I was very surprised to win!"

Zach: " It was fun taking part in the Football Tournament and it was a surprise to us all that we won!"

Andre: " It was really fun and I underestimated my team, so glad we won!"

YEAR 5 TAG RUGBY PRACTISE:

Year 5 are in training for their tag rugby tournament that will take place in April.

See the photo's below of the children enjoying this activity.

FRIDAY ASSEMBLY:

Today in assembly we were treated to a flute performance from Theresa in Year 6 who was kindly accompanied by Mr Tattam on the piano. Theresa is due to take her grade exam next week and so this was perfect practice for her. We would like to commend her on how beautifully she played. Well done Theresa!!

Keeping with the musical theme, we also had a performance from our bell plate ringers. Mrs Lloyd has done a wonderful job and they too played beautifully. We are very proud to have such wonderful musical talent within our school.

BAG2SCHOOL:

We are having a clothing collection on 19th March and hoped you would take the opportunity for a sort out. Bags and letters went out before the half term and we would like to thank everyone who has already donated. We have spare bags in the school office if you require them.

FOODBANK FRIDAY:

The Junior SVP will be collecting tins or packets of food every Friday which will be donated to Kidderminster Food Bank. Please can your child hand any contributions to their class teacher each week. Thank you for your generous support for this worthy cause.

PTA BOTTLE COLLECTION COMPETITION:

In preparation for the Summer Fete, the PTA would like to get a head start for the bottle tombola! When the pupils return after half term, each class will have a 'Treasure Map'. Every time a pupil brings in a bottle of drink (fizzy pop, squash, alcohol etc) they can colour in another step closer to the treasure chest. The class that is closest when the collection ends in June will get a treat! Every little donation helps make our fundraising a success.

Many thanks,

The PTA.

BOOK FAIR:

The Book Fair will be in school until Tuesday the 19th of March. Please bring your children along after school so that you can purchase books from an array of authors in order to encourage your child(ren) to have a love of reading. Money raised will go to our ongoing library fund.

Many thanks

Miss Holtom

WELL DONE YEAR 5!!!

Good attendance is very important to us here at St Ambrose Catholic Primary School and we are working hard to make sure that all children attend school as often as possible. Our school target is 96%. We understand that children cannot help being ill, but we would urge parents to do their best to ensure that medical and dental appointments are made for outside of school hours. Below is a table highlighting how time off affects a child's learning:
