Date: Friday 14th December
CHRISTMAS JUMPER DAY:
It was lovely to see the children all dressed up in their Christmas festive wear on Christmas Dinner day. Thank you to everyone for your donations. We will be sending off £118.75 to Save The Children.
ST AMBROSE FEAST DAY:
Last Friday the School community came together with parishioners to celebrate the Feast Day of our Patron Saint Ambrose with a lovely Mass. Thank you to Father Lamb and everyone who joined us to mark the day in this special way.
YEAR 6 CONFIRMATION CELEBRATIONS:
On Wednesday afternoon the Year 6 children celebrated receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation by sharing a cake with a photo of their special day on the top, with their parents. As they are also the Junior SVP, they never miss the chance to raise some money at the same time, so Christmas quiz sheets were also sold to parents. Everyone had great fun taking part in the quiz with prizes for both parents and children. A huge thank you to all the parents who attended - £15 was raised towards the charity 'Save the Children,' adding to the money raised on Christmas Jumper Day.
ST JOHN'S DAY:
Just a reminder that we will be celebrating St Luke's feast day on Thursday 20th December. If your child is in St John's house please make sure they come in to school wearing a green t-shirt with their uniform. Children in other houses will come in to school wearing their normal full school uniform.
REVERSE ADVENT CALENDAR:
As next week will be the last week we will have the opportunity to celebrate Advent in school, we will be collecting food for the Kidderminster Foodbank as a way of thinking about giving rather than receiving. To support this venture KS1 children have been asked to bring in any spare food items on Monday or Tuesday next week and KS2 to bring items in on Wednesday or Thursday. All the donations will then be taken to church on Friday to be collected by the Foodbank.
Please help your child to prepare for Christmas by helping others in this special way by giving generously. Thank you once again for all your support.
GRAND CHRISTMAS DRAW:
The children will be coming home tonight with a book of raffle tickets for the Parish Christmas Draw. Tickets are 20p each (£1 per book). Please support the Parish in this venture.
All tickets whether sold or not should be returned by Tuesday 18th December as the draw will take place on Thursday 20th December.
MUSIC CONCERT:
There will be a Music Concert for parents of children who play the Violin or Bell Plates on Monday 17th December at 9am. All are welcome.
SEN DROP IN:
Mrs Price holds a drop in session from 2-3pm every Thursday afternoon. Please remember appointments on a 1-1 basis can be arranged with Mrs Price for any Thursday or Friday.
CAR PARK:
PLEASE CAN WE ASK THAT YOU DO NOT USE THE CAR PARK AT DROP OFF AND PICK UP TIMES AS IT IS DANGEROUS AT THESE BUSY TIMES.
