Date:4th May 2018

Good afternoon everyone,

Year Five attended the Good Shepherd Mass for Father Hudson's Society at St George's Catholic Church in Worcester on Tuesday. It was a wonderful Mass, led by Bishop Robert Byrne, which provided us with the opportunity to present a cheque to Father Hudson's Society from the money we collected as a school during Lent.

KEY STAGE 2 CHURCH VISIT

Yesterday the Key Stage 2 children had a great time visiting Saint Ambrose Church. Joseph spoke to everyone about the history of the Church and the children went on a hunt for different features of the Catholic faith.

CHARITY WORK

On Monday, a representative from the Kemp Hospice attended the Congratulations Assembly to receive a cheque from school. Liz was so impressed by our compassion and generosity towards charitable causes. Well Done Everyone!

PARENT'S AND FRIEND ASSOCIATION

I am so pleased that a group of parents have spoken to me about forming an active and supportive group, who will organise a wide variety of events raising invaluable funds for our school and its pupils.

The objectives of the Association will be:

To develop more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;

To engage in activities which support the school and the education of the pupils attending it;

To provide and assist in the provision of facilities for the school; and

To encourage parents and friends to support the school and school activities.

We will be holding a meeting on Friday 18th May to establish a committee, which will administer the affairs of the Parents and Friends Association. Please come along to the meeting, to let us know how you can help,

The aim of our fundraising will be to establish a new library in school.
