Date:18th May 2018

Good afternoon everyone,

It is a tradition to crown the statue of Mary during May - a custom known as May Crowning. Often, the crown is made of beautiful blossoms representing Mary's beauty and virtue. It's also a reminder to the faithful to strive to imitate our Blessed Mother's virtue in our own lives. Here at Saint Ambrose School we will hold our own May Procession on Monday 21st May at 2pm. We warmly welcome everyone to join us.

KEY STAGE 1 AND KEY STAGE 2 SATS

Well done to all of the children in Year 6 who demonstrated such amazing positivity and resilience during the SATs tests this week. We won't know the results of these tests until later on in the term but regardless of the outcome we are extremely proud of them all; their hard work and determination was truly commendable. The children in Year 2 are currently completing their assessments which will be used to inform teacher judgements made at the end of the year.

DADS AND LADS

There are a limited amount of spaces available for the Dads and Lads session. If you are interested, please speak to the school office in the first instance.

"You can socialise with family so it's nice" - Param

"It's really fun because you can make lots of things with your dad" - Matthew C
