Date:11th May 2018

Good afternoon everyone,

On Thursday the whole school went to Mass to celebrate the Ascension of Our Lord. Father Lamb reminded us that after his Resurrection, Jesus appeared to his disciples over a period of forty days. It was wonderful to see so many parents and parishioners at Mass, as we celebrated Jesus' return to his Father in Heaven.

A huge congratulations to Year 1 for a wonderful King and Queens assembly. It went amazingly and everyone looked fantastic in all of their costumes. Thank you to all parents and carers for a great turnout and for your continued support.

PARENT'S AND FRIEND ASSOCIATION

I am so pleased that a group of parents have spoken to me about forming an active and supportive group, who will organise a wide variety of events raising invaluable funds for our school and its pupils.

The objectives of the Association will be:

To develop more extended relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school;

To engage in activities which support the school and the education of the pupils attending it;

To provide and assist in the provision of facilities for the school; and

To encourage parents and friends to support the school and school activities.

We will be holding a meeting on Friday 18th May to establish a committee, which will administer the affairs of the Parents and Friends Association. Please come along to the meeting, to let us know how you can help,
