FORMING CHRIST-CENTERED PILGRIMS OF HOPE
We’ve had a fantastic start to the new year, with the children settling back into routines so well and showing great enthusiasm for their learning. On Tuesday, we celebrated the Feast of the Epiphany at Mass, which was celebrated by Canon Lamb. All the children were thoughtful and reverent throughout the Mass, making it a very special occasion. Thank you very much for the generous Christmas gifts and kind messages, they were truly appreciated by all the staff.
A Prayer for the Epiphany:
Dear God,
Thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, to show us Your love.
Help us to follow the example of the Wise Men by sharing kindness and gifts of love with others.
Guide us to shine Your light in our school, home, and community.
Amen.
KIND HEARTS
Due to the ongoing Amber weather warnings for Storm Goretti in the West Midlands, along with the current Red warning affecting the South of England, Saint Ambrose School was closed today.
We understand how disruptive a school closure can be for families, and we want to reassure you that this decision was not taken lightly. Our priority is always the safety and wellbeing of our pupils, families, and staff, while also recognising the importance of children being in school whenever possible.
We have listened carefully to feedback from our community and, hopefully by giving as much advance notice as we could, it enabled you to plan ahead and stay safe.
We will continue to keep a close eye on the weather over the weekend but we plan to be open as normal on Monday.
Thank you, as always, for your understanding and support.
Puss in Boots is a performance being given by 'The Monday Night Group' amateur dramatics society. They are a registered charity and all money raised for their performances go back into the local community.
We are very pleased and proud to announce that this year's cast includes our very own Mr Holman who plays the part of King Basil! Oh yes he is!!
It would be a wonderful opportunity for a great family night out and for our school community to support him.
