The Jubilee Prayer

Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.

Amen

Message from Mrs Brocklesby

CHRIST CENTERED PILGRIMS OF HOPE

Advent has begun, and it is wonderful to see the many signs of this special season all around us. The Advent wreath is proudly displayed, with its candles ready to be lit each week as we journey towards Christmas. Purple cloths around school remind us that this is a time of reflection and preparation, while Advent calendars help the children focus on daily prayer and Bible stories. Quiet prayer spaces, updated classroom prayer tables, and our nativity scene create a sense of peace and anticipation. Acts of kindness displays, charitable collections, and the gentle sounds of Advent hymns show that our school community is preparing both hearts and minds for the coming of Jesus, the Light of the World.

We are delighted to celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Ambrose this Sunday. Mass will honour the life and teachings of Saint Ambrose, the patron of our parish, and all families are warmly invited to join us for this special occasion.

Immediately after Mass, we will continue the celebration with our Christmas Fete, featuring Seasonal stalls, refreshments and treats, Raffles and games, Festive music and activities for children and families

It promises to be a joyful community event as we celebrate our patron saint and begin the festive season together.

Chapman and Myers Santa's Sunglasses Competition

Thank you so much for participating in our competition to design Santa a pair of glasses or sunglasses. We have really enjoyed seeing the children's creative ideas and, judging by the engagement on our Facebook page, so have our followers!

On this occasion St Ambrose didn't win, but it was an incredibly close competition! The winning entry received 108 reactions, and the entry with the highest number of reactions from St Ambrose had 96 reactions, taking 2nd place overall.
