The Jubilee Prayer

Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.

There will be a whole school Mass on Friday 17th October at 9.30am to celebrate Harvest. All families are warmly invited.

Can we please ask for donations of non-perishable items to be brought into school from Monday 13th of October.

As we settle into the rhythm of the new term, I want to take a moment to celebrate the incredible spirit and dedication of our school community.
The recent Animal Blessing was a shining example of what we can achieve when we come together with creativity, and joy. Please keep our Year 6 pupils in your prayers as they prepare to make their Confirmation this year. We invite families and parishioners to support them by joining us at the Commitment Mass on Sunday at 11:00am at St Ambrose Church.

On Monday, it will be the Year 5 curriculum workshop. This is an opportunity to know more about what your child is learning, ask questions, and find out how you can support their learning at home. A big thank you to all the parents who have already attended our curriculum workshops! We encourage all parents to complete the Microsoft feedback form that will be sent out on Monday. This will help us reflect, improve, and tailor future sessions to best support our pupils’ learning.

Thank you to all the families and pets that attended the animal blessing, led by Canon Lamb, yesterday afternoon. Not only were all of the animals well behaved it was wonderful to see such a great turn out. Please see our facebook page for pictures of the event.

Holy Trinity have confirmed that their pool is now reopen which means that Year 4 swimming lessons will resume on Tuesday 7th October and continue every 2 weeks.

THERE WILL BE NO TEAPOT TIME ON TUESDAY 7TH OCTOBER. PTA ARE WELCOME TO COME AND HELP SORT OUT THE PTA CUPBOARD INSTEAD IF ANY MEMEBERS WOULD LIKE TO COME ALONG.

Teapot time takes place every Tuesday from 8.50am -9.30am in the Parish Hall hosted by Mrs Wallace. Please feel free to pop along for an informal chat about anything school related.

Can we please remind that you should not be parking in the car park at drop off and pick up times unless you have requested and been given a parking pass. Please can you pass this onto any other family members or friends who may also drop off or collect your child.

As you can appreciate, drop off and pick up times are always busy and so to ensure our children's safety we kindly request that you find parking outside of the car park.

On your child's PE day they should be wearing the correct uniform as shown above. Shorts should be of a reasonable length preferably to the knee.

Regular attendance at school means that your child will make the most of their education and improve their chances later on in life. At St Ambrose, good attendance is of high importance and we strive to have at least 96% attendance. Please help us with this target. If you need any support, then school is here to help so that your child can get the very best out of the education we provide. 

We will continue sending out regular communications about attendance so that you are aware if you child falls below our 96% target and we are working with Louise Howles, our Education Welfare Officer to support us with improvements.
