This morning, the children took part in our Transition Morning, where they spent time with their new class teacher in their new classroom. It was a wonderful opportunity for pupils to begin building positive relationships, become familiar with their new learning environment, and ask any questions they had. Over the coming weeks, we will continue to hold several transition activities to help children feel confident and prepared for the move to their new year group. These carefully planned experiences are designed to make the start of the new school year in September as smooth and positive as possible. We understand that transitions can be both exciting and a little daunting, and we are committed to supporting every child throughout the process. In September, parents and carers will also have the opportunity to attend a 'Meet and Greet' session with their child's new class teacher, providing a chance to make introductions and share any important information before the new school year begins.

PTA Summer Fete – We Need Your Help!

There is an incredible amount of work taking place behind the scenes to make next Friday's Summer Fete a fantastic event for our children. However, we urgently need more volunteers to help make it a success.

Every parent and carer is automatically a member of our PTA, and the events they organise are a hugely important part of school life. The PTA provides many of the memorable treats, surprises and special experiences that our children enjoy throughout the year. Without the support of volunteers, it becomes increasingly difficult to continue offering these opportunities.

There are a variety of ways you can help, including preparing hampers, folding raffle tickets, setting up from 1.00p.m. on the day, running a stall during the fete or helping to tidy away afterwards. Even an hour of your time would make a real difference.

From Monday morning, there will be an easel on the playground with a list of volunteer roles that need filling. Please take a look and sign up if you are able to help. Without sufficient support, we may need to reduce the scale of this year's Summer Fete.

Thank you in advance for your continued support—we really can only make these special events happen together.

Archbishop's Visit – Sunday 12th July

Canon Lamb warmly invites all members of our school community—including staff, parents, carers and children—to join the parish in welcoming the Archbishop during his visit on Sunday 12th July. Mass will take place at 11.00 am, followed by a celebration with refreshments in the Hall, Lounge and Rectory Garden.

The parish is encouraging everyone to come together to celebrate our wonderfully diverse community. National groups are invited, where possible, to wear traditional dress and share food and refreshments from their home countries. There will also be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the celebrations, with the school helping to decorate the grounds and Canon Lamb encouraging everyone to join in the fun—perhaps with a colourful hat, an eye-catching tie or some wonderfully outrageous socks!

We hope many families will be able to attend this joyful community celebration.

Our day got off to a brilliant start with a fantastic Year Four Class Assembly all about the Vikings. The children confidently shared lots of interesting facts and information, showcasing everything they have been learning. They also treated us to wonderful songs, performed with great enthusiasm and energy, which were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.

A huge thank you to the Year Four team for all their hard work in preparing the children and putting together such an engaging and informative assembly. Well done to all of our Year Four pupils for a memorable performance!
