Curriculum Workshops
Thank you to all the parents and carers who have attended our Curriculum Workshops so far. We hope you have found the sessions useful in understanding what your child will be learning during the year ahead, as well as providing you with practical ways in which you can support their learning at home.
We still have our Year 1, Year 2 and Year 5 workshops taking place this week and look forward to welcoming families to these sessions. Next Friday, we will send out a short questionnaire to capture Parent Voice and hear your thoughts about the workshops. Your feedback is always valuable to us and helps us to continue to develop the support we provide for our families. Thank you, as always, for your continued support and partnership.
Animal Blessing
We were truly blessed with some beautiful sunshine on Thursday, which allowed us to continue with our annual Animal Blessing for St Ambrose School and Parish. It was wonderful to see such a fantastic turnout, with so many families bringing along their much-loved pets to be part of this special celebration.
The Animal Blessing is always a lovely occasion within our school and parish calendar. It gives us an opportunity to stop and appreciate the joy, companionship and love that animals bring to our lives, while also reminding us of our responsibility to care for all living things. As we gathered together, we reflected upon the beauty of God’s creation and the important part that each of us has to play in protecting and caring for our common home.
For us at St Ambrose, this celebration also marks the end of the Season of Creation. Throughout this special season, we have encouraged our children to notice the wonderful world around them, to be thankful for all that God has given us and to consider how our everyday actions can make a difference. Our Animal Blessing was a fitting and joyful way to bring this time of reflection to a close and to remind us to continue caring for God’s creation throughout the year.
Year 6 Confirmation Enrolment Mass
On Sunday, the Parish of St Ambrose will welcome our Year 6 children who are preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation in December for their Enrolment Mass. This is an important step on their journey of faith as they begin their preparations for this very special sacrament.
We ask our whole school and parish community to keep these children and their families in your prayers over the coming weeks as they prepare to take this next important step in their faith journey. We look forward to supporting and celebrating with them along the way.
Have a lovely weekend.
