The Jubilee Prayer
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.
Amen

Knowledge Organisers - a thirst for knowledge
Today your child will have brought home their Knowledge Organisers for this term’s learning. These organisers set out the essential facts, vocabulary and key
concepts that the children have been learning in class over the last term. Their purpose is simple: to help children build strong, secure knowledge that they can
recall confidently and apply in their learning. By revisiting this information regularly, pupils strengthen their long-term memory and deepen their understanding
of each subject.
Knowledge Organisers are designed to be clear, concise and easy to use at school and home. Please take a moment to look through them with your child. One
of the most effective ways you can support their learning is through short, frequent quizzes. This could be as simple as reading out key vocabulary and asking
your child to explain it, checking if they can remember important facts, or encouraging them to recall information without looking. Little and often is best—just
five minutes a few times a week can make a big difference.
Thank you for your continued support in helping us promote strong learning habits. Working together, we can ensure that every child feels confident, prepared
and excited about the knowledge they are gaining this term.
The Liturgical Season of Advent - kind hearts, questioning minds and a hunger for justice.
This Sunday marks the First Sunday of Advent, and we are delighted to share a lovely school–parish initiative that has been taking place this week. Every class
from Nursery through Year Six has created a beautiful Advent wreath today, each one crafted with care and reflection. These wreaths will be displayed in St
Ambrose Church throughout the Advent season.

Our Catholic School Mission
You may have noticed this beautiful sentence appearing in our communications:
“Forming Christ-centred pilgrims of hope with kind hearts, questioning minds, a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for justice.”
This is the shared mission for all our Catholic schools, and over the coming weeks and months we will be using this mission to guide our learning, our relationships, and the way we grow together as a community. It reminds us of the kind of people we aim to help our children become curious, compassionate, hopeful, and committed to making the world a fairer place.
We look forward to sharing with you how this mission comes to life in our classrooms and throughout our school in our newsletter every week.

KIND HEARTS
We have targeted a few families to help with distributing leaflets in the local area to promote our upcoming open days.
If any other parents/families would be happy to help, please could you come to the school office to collect some leaflets.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.
HUNGER FOR JUSTICE
Can we please remind that you should not be parking in the car park at drop off and pick up times unless you have requested and been given a parking pass. Please can you pass this onto any other family members or friends who may also drop off or collect your child.
As you can appreciate, drop off and pick up times are always busy and so to ensure our children's safety we kindly request that you find parking outside of the car park.
