Our Catholic Mission: 'We do our best by following Jesus.'

Friday 19th December 2025

ALL STAFF AND PUPILS WILL RETURN TO SCHOOL ON MONDAY 5TH JANUARY.

All the staff would like to wish you all a very Blessed Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Thank you all so much for your continued support and for all of the lovely cards and gifts that you have given to staff. It is very much appreciated.

The Jubilee Prayer

Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.

Amen

End of Term Message

Forming Christ-centred pilgrims of hope with kind hearts, questioning minds, a thirst for knowledge and a hunger for justice.

What a wonderful start to the week! Watching our youngest children from Nursery shine in their Christmas performance was truly heart warming. Their smiles and excitement as they sang and acted out the Christmas story was lovely to see. Thank you to the amazing nursery staff for making it so magical!

This was then followed by the Key Stage Two Carol Concert on Tuesday and Wednesday. The children sang beautifully, and the readers spoke clearly as they shared the special story of Jesus’ coming. It was a joyful celebration enjoyed by all. Our sincere thanks go to all of the Key Stage Two staff for their hard work in preparing the children.

Thank you to everyone who was able to come along and watch. Your support is truly appreciated.

It was wonderful to see the children working so enthusiastically and creatively alongside their families during our Christmas workshops this week. The hall was full of festive cheer, teamwork and imagination, and it was lovely to share such special mornings together. Thank you to everyone who came along and supported the children — we hope you enjoyed the activities and made some lovely Christmas memories with us.

Yesterday, we had our Christmas party day which I know everyone enjoyed and I'm sure many slept well last night, including the staff! We started the morning with a whole school Christmas sing-along and this was followed by every child visiting Father Christmas. At lunchtime the children and some staff enjoyed tucking into their Christmas lunch. Thank you to the PTA for organising our very special visitor and gifts and to AiP caterers for Christmas lunch.

Today we celebrated Mass as a whole school and this was a lovely way to finish a very special week. The children sang the carols beautifully and the readers read very clearly.  Thank you to Canon Lamb and to the altar servers who assisted.

This afternoon, all the children joined in the Healthy Elfie activities—a fun-filled carousel of physical challenges including an obstacle course, ‘Santa Says,’ and Elf Pass. It was fantastic to see the children laughing, cheering each other on, and really enjoying themselves while staying active! A huge thank you to Miss Noble for organising such a brilliant and festive event that brought so much joy to everyone.

All children are invited to attend the Christmas Eve (Wednesday) Vigil Mass at 5p.m. with their families.  In school, every child has made a special Christmas decoration that reminds us of the Christmas story and during the Mass the children will be invited to put their decoration on the Christmas tree.  I look forward to seeing you there at this very special Mass to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

On a final note, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the children and staff for your hard work and to the parents for your continued support. It has been a wonderful term that has been full of exciting teaching and learning and we look forward to continuing this in January.  We wish you all a very joyful Christmas and a happy new year.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped set up and run a stall and those who supported the PTA Christmas Fair on Wednesday of this week.

Lots of hot dogs, hot chocolate and prizes were to be enjoyed by all. It's very much appreciated and with your support and commitment we raised a huge £543.84 - this goes a long way towards the pantomime in the New Year that all of our children will enjoy.

Look out in January for some exciting new class events!
