Message from Mrs Brocklesby
Today was one of the highlights of the school year for me. It was wonderful to welcome prospective parents to Saint Ambrose School and Nursery on our Open day.
This year Mrs Laskey and I proudly welcomed parents to our School and Nursery. Parents were shown round by our fantastic Year Six pupils who shared their memories and experiences of Saint Ambrose. It was wonderful for parents to see the creative and engaging curriculum in action. There was a fantastic buzz of learning that could be seen throughout the school. Our children in all classes were demonstrating a love for learning, whilst any new children were enjoying the bee hunt, balloons and bee cakes. Mrs Laskey and I were overjoyed at the comments we received from prospective parents about the hardworking polite pupils we have at Saint Ambrose. Everyone was certainly living out the school Mission, 'We do our best by following Jesus.'
If you know any families with school age or nursery age children, please tell them about Saint Ambrose School and Nursery and ask them to contact the school office.

The Live Simply Ambassadors are going to be holding a raffle to raise money for CAFOD (Catholic Agency for Overseas Development).
Due to technical difficulties we have not yet been able to set up the raffle ticket sale on Arbor however, this will be done early next week. From Tuesday, you will also be able to purchase physical tickets after school in playground from the Live Simply Ambassadors.
Due to the technical issues the draw will now take place when we return after half term.
Thank you for your support.

Term Dates

Regular attendance at school means that your child will make the most of their education and improve their chances later on in life. At St Ambrose, good attendance is of high importance and we strive to have at least 96% attendance. Please help us with this target. If you need any support, then school is here to help so that your child can get the very best out of the education we provide.
We will continue sending out regular push notifications about attendance so that you are aware if you child falls below our 96% target and we are working with Louise Howles, our Education Welfare Officer to support us with improvements.
