The Jubilee Prayer

Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.

May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.

May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.

Amen

Dear God,
Thank You for this school year –
for the friends we’ve made,
the things we’ve learned,
and the fun we’ve had.

As summer begins,
keep us safe in our adventures,
kind in our hearts,
and thankful for each sunny day.

Help us rest, play, and grow,
and bring us back together in September,
ready to learn, share, and shine once more.

Amen.

Message from Mrs Laskey and Mrs Brocklesby

Dear Parents and Carers

As we celebrate another successful school year, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our children, families, and staff for their incredible dedication, resilience, and support. Together, we have achieved so much and it's all thanks to the strength of our school community.

We are thrilled to share that our school has been awarded the LiveSimply Award by CAFOD in recognition of our commitment to living simply, sustainably, and in solidarity with those in need. This award reflects the collective efforts of our whole school community, who have worked together to make a positive difference both locally and globally. What a meaningful way to end the year! Thank you to Miss Crumpler, our LiveSimply Lead and the Live Simply Ambassadors for your hard work.

Today, as well as saying goodbye to our Year Six children we are also saying farewell to a valued member of staff. She had a wonderful send off this morning where both the children and staff shared memories and sang ‘You’ve got a friend in me’. We wish her all the best of luck in her future adventures.

In our final assembly this morning we congratulated nine children who have achieved 100% attendance for this academic year.  Well done to Austin, Leo, Joshua B, Jonas, Amelia H, William, Ugoeze, Carmen and Alwen.

The St Ambrose Pupil of the Year Awards were given to Giavanna, Karson, Elwood, Paddy, Ayron, Ciara, Joseph, Robyn and Samuel.  Congratulations to you all and these were given in recognition for your true discipleship and following our school mission ‘We do our best by following Jesus’.

On behalf of all the staff thank you for all your lovely gifts, messages, and kind words of support.

We wish you all a lovely summer break and I look forward to seeing those of you who are returning, back in school on Wednesday 3rd September for more learning, growth, and new adventures!

SUMMER FETE

Dear Parents and Carers,

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you for all your support at last week’s Summer Fete. Thanks to your generosity, enthusiasm, and community spirit, we’re delighted to share that we raised an amazing £1,241.38.

These funds will go directly towards resources and activities that benefit all the children in our school.

A special thank you goes to all the wonderful volunteers who gave their time and energy before, during, and after the event – we simply couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you again for helping to make the fete such a great success!

We wish you all a safe, restful and enjoyable summer holiday, and we look forward to seeing you in the next school year!

Attendance

Regular attendance at school means that your child will make the most of their education and improve their chances later on in life. At St Ambrose, good attendance is of high importance and we strive to have at least 96% attendance. Please help us with this target. If you need any support, then school is here to help so that your child can get the very best out of the education we provide.

The Attendance Policy 2024-2025 states that:
Parents are asked to inform the school before 8.50a.m. on their child's first day of absence. This can be done via telephone (01562 823568) or email (enquiry_amb@emmausmac.com).  Parents are asked to keep the school informed of the child's continued absence if it does not constitute the 48 hours rule for the sickness bug.

We will continue sending out regular communications about attendance so that you are aware if you child falls below our 96% target and we are working with Louise Howles, our Education Welfare Officer to support us with improvements.

Times of the School Day

8.40a.m. Gates open

8.50a.m. Gates close and registration in class

8.50a.m. - 9.20a.m. Late before close of register

After 9.20a.m. - Late (unauthorised)

The UCM (United Catholic Mothers) meet every other Monday evening at 7pm in term time and would like to extend a warm welcome to anyone who would like to become a member. They play a pivotal role fundraising activities for the Church and also devote their time to helping out at school functions such as school fete, holy communion etc. You wouldn't necessarily have to come to all the meetings but any availability to help out at functions would be very much appreciated.

Kind Regards,

Mrs Brocklesby and Mrs Laskey
