The Jubilee Prayer
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.
Amen
We are kindly asking for donations of any crates and tyres for our reception outdoor area.
Message from Mrs Laskey
This week has been marked by moments of reflection, unity, and joy across our school. On Tuesday, Year 6 led the whole school in a poignant Remembrance Day reflection. At 11am, the two‑minute silence was observed with reverence, as pupils and staff alike paused to honour the sacrifices made by those who gave their lives in service of others. Year 6 demonstrated great respect and understanding of the significance of this occasion, reminding us all of the importance of remembering the past and striving for peace in the present and future.
Throughout the week, our focus has been on the theme “The Power of Good” and the vital role kindness plays in our daily lives. Monday’s celebration of Odd Socks Day was a joyful reminder that we are all different, unique, and wonderfully made in God’s image. The activities that followed encouraged pupils to embrace these differences and to use them as a foundation for kindness—both within our school and in the wider world. It has been inspiring to see children reflect on how small acts of goodness can make a lasting impact.
As the half term progresses, the atmosphere is already beginning to shift towards the festive season. Indeed, the sound of a Christmas song drifting from one of the classrooms earlier this week was a cheerful reminder of the celebrations to come. It is a busy time ahead, but one filled with anticipation and joy. We look forward to welcoming families and friends in the coming weeks to share in our Advent and Christmas celebrations, where together we will mark this special season of hope and light.
Have a lovely weekend. Fingers crossed that the rain stops!
