Message from Mrs Brocklesby

On Sunday, we pause to celebrate the incredible love, guidance, and kindness that mothers and mother figures bring into our lives. Whether through gentle words, unwavering support, or quiet acts of care, their presence shapes our hearts and communities in countless ways.

We give special thanks to all who nurture and inspire us every day. In a special way, we also honor Mary, our Mother, whose example of love and compassion continues to guide us.

Thank you to all the mothers and mother figures who make the world brighter with their grace and generosity.

Educational visits are a very important part of school life. They help to bring the curriculum to life by giving children real-world experiences that support what they learn in the classroom.

Trips allow pupils to explore new places, develop curiosity and deepen their understanding through hands-on learning. They also help to build confidence, independence and teamwork, while creating memorable experiences that inspire a lifelong love of learning. This week year 3 and reception have both been on exciting trips.

Year 3 have today been on a fantastic trip exploring the beautiful Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre. The children had a fantastic time making their very own cast fossils, exploring the museum and learning lots about the local history.

The children were exceptionally well behaved and asked questions to drive the learning forward. They loved finding out about the types of fossils that have been found all around the Shropshire Hills and learning all about the Hill Forts. Staff were very proud of how well they represented the school.

Reception yesterday went to a local music festival where they experienced live music and interactive performances. The children loved singing along, clapping to the rhythm and exploring a range of musical instruments.

We would like to thank all of our staff who helped make these visits possible. Educational trips require a great deal of planning and support, and we are very grateful to everyone who contributed their time and effort.

Experiences like these create lasting memories for our pupils and play an important role in enriching their learning beyond the classroom. Thank you for your continued support.

The event aims to shine a powerful spotlight on the ongoing fight against MND while delivering an unforgettable day of entertainment, community spirit, and sporting excitement.

So get your tickets for June 27th 1:30 doors open 3pm kick off. £12 a ticket or £50 for VIP meet and greet the celebrities.

This is in aid of raising money for MND because one of our parents friend, Stacy has played football her entire life it has always been her passion, her community, and part of who she is.

At just 38 years old, she was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The diagnosis has been devastating for her family, turning their world upside down.

But true to her strength and character, Stacy is determined to use her voice and her love of football to raise awareness and make a difference.

Please support Stacy and her friends with this event.
